- 四相
- The four (sa) avasthā, or states of all phenomena, i. e. [lang id =1028]生住異滅 birth, being, change (i. e. decay), and death; also [lang id =1028]四有為相. There are several groups, e. g. [lang id =1028]果報四相 birth, age, disease, death. Also [lang id =1028]藏識四相 of the <Awakening of Faith> referring to the initiation, continuation, change, and cessation of the (sa) ālaya-vijñāna. Also [lang id =1028]我人四相 The ideas:(1) that there is an ego;(2) that man is different from other organisms;(3) that all the living are produced by the (sa) skandhas;(4) that life is limited to the organism. Also [lang id =1028]智境四相 dealing differently with the four last headings [lang id =1028]我; [lang id =1028]人; [lang id =1028]衆生; and [lang id =1028]壽相.* * *指顯示諸法生滅變遷的生、 住、 異、 滅等四相, 此又作四有為、 四有為相。 《成唯識論》卷二等記載, 唯識宗主張‘四相假立, 過未無體’。 就剎那而言, 有為法依因緣之力, 由本無而今有, 乃屬暫有還無者, 為表示異於無為而假立四相。 以本無今有, 故稱有位為‘生’, 暫停於生位即稱‘住’, 住位前後之變異即稱‘異, 以暫有還無, 故稱滅時為‘滅’。 其中, 生、 住、 異三者為‘有’, 同屬現在;滅為‘無’, 則屬過去。 就一期分位而言, 初有稱為生;後無稱為滅;已生而相似相續, 稱為住;住之相續轉變, 稱為異。 又無論剎那或一期, 皆以前三相為現在, 滅相為過去。* * *1.生相、 住相、 異相、 滅相。 生相即由無而有; 住相即成長之形; 異相即衰老變壞; 滅相即最終滅亡。 此生住異滅四相, 遷流不息, 此滅彼生, 此生彼滅。 2.我相、 人相、 眾生相、 壽者相。 見我人四相條。
